GIFT Finance Olympiad: National Student Case Challenge 2026
A national case competition inviting postgraduate students across India to solve real-world financial challenges emerging from GIFT City’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). Participants will develop evidence-based solutions across financial product innovation, market infrastructure, institutional strategy and governance.

Organised by the Centre for Capital Markets and Risk Management (CCMRM) at IIM Bangalore in collaboration with GIFT City, the GIFT Finance Olympiad challenges postgraduate students to address real-world questions facing India’s international financial ecosystem. Teams of four students from recognised colleges, universities and B-schools across India are encouraged to be interdisciplinary. The competition has three stages: an online national case challenge; in-person regional finals in Delhi on 21 November, Bengaluru on 28 November, Kolkata on 30 November and Mumbai on 5 December 2026; and a grand finale at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, on a date to be announced. Participants can choose between Markets & Product Design and Institutional Strategy & Governance. Opportunities include presenting to exchange officials, bankers and academics, interacting with industry practitioners and IIM Bangalore faculty, and competing for cash prizes and national recognition.
