Elevated Corridors Design Challenge – Design Jam
A participatory design jam for Bengaluru residents, students and researchers to explore sustainable alternatives to the city's proposed elevated corridors and develop mobility solutions.
About this event
The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) plans to build nine elevated corridors to ease traffic congestion. The Elevated Corridors Design Challenge invites participants to assess the merits and drawbacks of a full corridor or a section of it and propose alternatives prioritising sustainable mobility, accessibility and community needs. Teams of up to five participants will develop proposals for evaluation by a jury of experts. The Design Jam will help participants meet teammates, access maps and reports, develop proposal ideas, and receive guidance and feedback from mobility and environmental experts, as well as residents affected by the projects. No prior background in design or urban planning is required. Lunch will be provided. Final proposal submission deadline: 15 November 2026.
